Why Every Woman Should Do a Boudoir Shoot
All throughout our lives we put ourselves in boxes. We tell ourselves things like “Oh, I could never do that.” or “That’s not me.”
In my opinion, a boudoir photo shoot is an experience every woman should have - mostly because it pushes boundaries and expands your view of yourself. Here are a few reasons why a boudoir shoot is something that should be on your bucket list!
Challenge your point of view.
Have you already decided exactly what you love and/or hate about your body? A boudoir session has the power to reframe how you see yourself. Women can be so critical of themselves. Sometimes all you need are a fresh pair of eyes to start showing yourself the same kind of compassion that others treat you with.
Do something that scares you.
I am a firm believer in doing things that cause a little fear and anxiety. Two amazing things happen when you step outside your comfort zone.
You build confidence. You have done something that you weren’t sure you could do and now you are stronger because of it!
You get a burst of exhilaration. A lot of women leave my studio feeling like they could take on the world!
Celebrate your life!
Women are notorious for putting everyone else’s needs ahead of their own. (AM I RIGHT?! 🙌) But your life is worth celebrating, too! A photo shoot is an amazing way to mark milestones big and small. You get the thrill of the experience PLUS a visual, daily reminder of your strength and beauty. Anytime you start to doubt yourself or feel low, just pull out your photos and remind yourself that you are a beautiful badass.
Be Seen
Have you ever checked out at the grocery story and realized at the end of the transaction, you didn’t even look into the eyes of the person at the register? We live in weird times where we can check ourselves out and use our phones to complete transactions. It might seem crazy, but it will feel incredible just to truly be seen by another person. You will be amazed at what it feels like to have someone whose entire goal is to bring out the best in you. Human connection is becoming a luxury - and it is a luxury you will be sure to receive if you decide to book a boudoir session for yourself.
